Who is planning FIBRuary?

The inspiration came from several different pathways. As Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio was preparing for a previous festival in Greencastle Indiana, local crafters at a weekly Sit-‘n-Stitch group Michelle attended had asked why don’t we have a festival on the Northside of Indianapolis? Couldn’t we do one here, in Hamilton County?

Only a few weeks later, Michelle and Maddie from RoseGold Yarn attended an industry conference together and began discussing the idea in earnest.  After a few days of brainstorming, the idea began to crystalize -- a vibrant yarn festival and yarn crawl to bring fiber enthusiasts together in Indiana during the cold month of February.  They knew they had something special that could brighten up the winter months for yarn lovers in Central Indiana and beyond.

Our first FIBRuary Festival and Yarn Crawl in 2025 had over 600 attendees and we were so excited to see the need and desire for this show that we’re bringing it back as an annual event. Check our events page for all the upcoming happenings.
