Non-Profit Collabs at FIBRuary

At FIBRuary, we believe fiber arts are about more than beautiful yarn—they’re about community, connection, and caring for one another. That’s why each year we partner with local and regional non-profit organizations who use fiber crafts to bring comfort, creativity, and support to people throughout Indiana.

We’re excited to give these organizations space to share their mission, connect with makers, and invite our community to get involved.

Threads of Compassion

We’re proud to welcome the Indiana Donor Network’s Threads of Compassion group to FIBRuary 2026.

Threads of Compassion provides handmade shawls to families who are grieving the loss of a loved one during the organ and tissue donation process—a gesture of warmth and comfort at one of the hardest moments a family can experience.

How You Can Help:

🧶 Donate unused acrylic yarn

🧣 Donate completed comfort shawls

Their table will be located inside the festival marketplace, and donations are welcomed throughout the weekend.

Indianapolis Knitting Guild

We’re thrilled to have representatives from the Indianapolis Knitting Guild, whose volunteers will staff two favorite festival features:

🧵 Yarn Winding Station
Bring your festival-purchased skeins and let the experts wind them into ready-to-cast-on cakes.

🩹 Yarn Doctor Station
Need help fixing a dropped stitch, correcting a mistake, or rescuing a beloved project? Guild members are on hand to help.

These stations embody the heart of the Guild’s mission: sharing knowledge, supporting fellow makers, and nurturing a thriving fiber community in central Indiana.

Why We Partner With Non-Profits

Fiber craft has always been rooted in generosity—teaching, gifting, comforting, and creating together. By partnering with organizations like Threads of Compassion and the Indy Knitting Guild, FIBRuary celebrates the ways makers bring kindness and healing into the world.

We’re honored to uplift their work and invite you to engage, donate, volunteer, or simply stop by to say hello.
