Fiber Art Demonstrations at FIBRuary
Demos at FIBRuary Festival bring you up close with entire process from fleece to finished object.
Watch our experts and teachers as they use their tools to process fiber, spin it, and weave it into a finished object.
Our demonstrators are excited to answer your questions about their crafts and they’ll have opportunities for you to try out equipment!

Saturday Demo Only: Conner Prairie’s Youth Spinning Team
Representatives of Conner Prairie’s award-winning Youth Spinning Team are proud to demonstrate on spinning wheels and other textiles equipment on Saturday, Jan 31, at FIBRuary Festival. These young volunteers, ages 10-18, teach historic and modern textiles at Conner Prairie, a living history museum in Fishers, Indiana. They also compete and demonstrate textiles at outreaches across the state and work collaboratively to produce projects such as scarves and shawls.
The youth volunteers at FIBRuary Festival represent just one way youth and adults can volunteer at Conner Prairie. Visit their demonstration for information or visit connerprairie.org to learn more ways to get involved.
